Beauty // Olay Fresh Effects {Va-Va-Vivid} Powered Contour Cleansing System & {Shine, Shine Go Away!} Shine Minimizing Cleanser

What it is:  Olay Fresh Effects {Va-Va-Vivid} Powered Contour Cleansing System and {Shine, Shine Go Away!} Shine Minimizing Cleanser

What they say:
Olay Fresh Effects{Va-Va-Vivid} Powered Contour Cleansing System:  A vibrating,tri-tip facial cleansing brush that packs some punch! This battery-powered device reaches deep into contours, liberating skin from dirt, oil, and makeup in hard-to-reach places for a clean that is 400% better than basic cleansing.

Olay Fresh Effects{Shine, Shine Go Away!} Shine Minimizing Cleanser: All the purifying power of a mask with the fresh feel of a daily cleanser. This face wash gently lathers and reaches deep into skin to help reduce the appearance of pores.

How to use:   Splash your face. Dispense a small amount of product onto the cleansing system head. Turn on the cleansing system, add water and work into a lather, adding more water if necessary. Massage gently onto face and neck. Power off and rinse thoroughly for a deeply refreshing cleansing experience.

What I think:  I’ve always wondered if cleansing systems are that much more effective than using your hands so I was excited to receive this Olay Fresh Effects duo to try out in the Influenster Sweet Heart VoxBox.

The cleansing system isn’t as bulky or daunting as some other system and is small enough to travel with. It doesn’t need to be charged and only uses an AAA battery.

Its plastic-like bristles are soft and gentle enough to not irritate skin but effective enough to do a deep clean.

I tried it out with about three different types of cleansers and each time it gave my skin a fresh, invigorated and deep clean feeling.

As for the cleanser, I’m not sure if I loved it. The fact that it was silver didn’t quite sit as well with me even though I’m sure that doesn’t affect its effectuality.

While it did clean as well as other cleansers I’ve used, it was hard to rinse away. I actually spent more time trying to rinse it off than I did actually cleaning my face.

Overall, I will keep using the cleansing system but I think I’ll stick with my regular cleanser.

Buy it online: Cleansing System $14.99 and Cleanser $7.99.
