Music // "Stubborn Love" by The Lumineers

This song has been stuck in my head all weekend, so, of course, I had to feature it today. You know the Lumineers from their breakout single “Ho Hey,” and now here is their second single “Stubborn Love.”

It’s got the same sweet, soulful sound we've come to love in their first hit, but this isn't a fairy tale love song – it’s about heartache, mistakes, loving someone who perhaps you shouldn’t.

The opening verse sets the tone: She’ll lie and steal and cheat, and beg you from her knees/Make you think she means it this time/She’ll tear a hole in you, the one you can’t repair/But I still love her/I don’t really care

The girl in this video though, so innocent and sweet, shows there's hope. No matter what, there's hope.

What do you think of this song? Tell me in the comments below.

Let's keep in touch...
