What it is: Incoco Nail Polish Strips

What they say: Say goodbye to liquid nail polish – no more drying time, smudges, or streaks! Incoco nail polish strips provide a perfect manicure in minutes. The strips are made of real nail polish, and each strip includes base, color, and top coats. Apply Incoco anywhere, any time!

How to use: Select the size that best fits your nail. Gently remove the clear cover. Gently peel polish strip from backing paper, holding onto the silver tab. Carefully break away silver tab to use the other end of the strip as well.

Place the strip on nail and smooth until wrinkle-free. Gently stretch for a perfect fit. To realign or resize, peel nail strip and re-apply. Crease strip nail edge and remove the excess using your nail or a nail file.

What I think: I still feel somewhat on the fence about these – while they were easy and had staying power, taking them off was a bit of a hassle.

After receiving them in my monthly Birchbox, I finally took mine off this morning after 2 weeks of wearing them and there were barely any chips, just a scratch or two. I had put a coat of clear nail polish on top of the strips to help them last, though, so maybe that was why.

Overall, the application process went really smoothly and was easy to catch onto for all 10 nails. The only downsides were that I didn’t realize my nails grew that quickly in two weeks so I had a rather noticeable gap between my cuticle and the colors.

Additionally, like I said, I had a hard time removing them with nail polish remover this morning. I had to scrub a good bit and there’s still some color on there and it left the surface of my nails a little ragged.

I might use these for only when I want something a little fancier or a design, but who knows. I’ve never been a big nail polish person, but if you are this is definitely something to check out.
