Fresh Finds: Benefit Fake-Up Concealer

What it is: Benefit Fake-Up Concealer

What they say: Cover-up goes incognito! This hydrating crease-control concealer - with Vitamin E & apple seed extract - hides dark circles & diffuses fine lines for a silky smooth, ultra-natural look. Available in three shades, it’s proven to keep skin hydrated for 6 hours.

How to use: Stroke fakeup underneath each eye. Using your ring finger, pat gently outward to blend.

What I think: I'm a huge concealer fan as I struggle with dark circles related to allergies and not getting enough sleep (get those 8 hours, folks!). While I've had a lot of great results with drugstore concealers (read here), I heard a lot of hype about this one from Benefit. Could it all be true?

I'm here to tell you, it is. This one is amazing! I am forever grateful I received a sample in my monthly Birchbox.

At first I was concerned that the hydrating ring might make things slick or greasy or be too much around my eyes, but I've found it to be a helpful attribute, especially if you're not ready to commit to eye cream or can't remember to put it on regularly (guilty and guilty).

Both parts of the concealer are a super creamy consistency that glides right on your skin and then pats in to blend and conceal easily. Not only does it cover with just a little amount of product, but it's super easy to use.

Each morning I just draw a little inverted triangle below my eye about an inch or two in diameter and then blend with my fingers. That's it!

Buy it online: Bloomingdale's $24 for one tube
