Samantha Chic: August 2014 Stitch Fix review

This month marks my 4th Stitch Fix box. I shared with you last month about how I made a note to my stylist about the price points and also requested some longer inseam denim shorts. They didn't have any shorts, but they did give me a more cost-friendly box.

Here's what I got in my box. The pieces ranged from $32 to $78 each for a total of $270. After the $20 styling fee and 25% discount, the whole box could be purchased for $182.50.

Pixley Winona Crystal Medallion Necklace $32 | STATUS: Sent Back

I liked the idea of the necklace, and it definitely laid well and looks good. But as I mention a lot, I felt like I could find something similar for half the price (maybe even less) at Forever 21.

Just Black Adora Ankle Length Colored Skinny Jean $78 | STATUS: Kept

I'm really impressed with Stitch Fix's ability to find me jeans that fit and flatter ...because honestly I have a hard time on my own! There's only been one pair I've sent back so far.

I really loved these coral colored pair. They fit well, were just springy & summery enough without being over-saturated  and matched perfectly with the Henley top in my box as well.

En Creme Mickalea Striped Racerback Cowl Neck Dress $58 | STATUS: Sent Back

My boyfriend jokes that I only wear A-line dresses, which is true because if it isn't broke, don't fix it. I liked the idea of this dress, but I didn't think it was flattering enough for the price. Cowl necks are always tough, I feel like.

Mystree Shirley Lace Detail Knit Tank $48 | STATUS: Sent Back

I really liked this shirt in the picture, but not so much once I put it on. It was cute enough -- don't get me wrong -- but again, I wasn't sure if it was worth the price. I feel like it looks better laying flat than it does when it's on.

Pixley Edmond Chevron Print Henley Shirt $54 | STATUS: Kept

I loved this shirt a lot more than I was expecting. Honestly, just by glancing at the box I assumed the tank (above) would be my favorite. I was wrong though.

This was one was super, super soft, had the perfect roll on the sleeve, fit well and matched the colored skinnies perfectly. A keeper, for sure!

So, that was my 4th box! Tell me what you think about Stitch Fix in the comments below. If you're interested in Stitch Fix, you can sign up using my referral code here!
