This is Part 3 in a three part weekly series (read Part 1 and Part 2).
So if you caught last Wednesday's post, you'll know that I won a bottle of TONI&GUY's Casual Sea Salt Texturizing Spray from Birchbox (if you're not already a member, sign up here) for hair tutorials.
In this series, I'll show you how to get three separate looks from one day of styling. We've already done loose, beachy waves and a braided half-updo.
Next up: The "Princess" Roll!
This is one of those hairstyles that looks a lot more complicated than it really it. I'll admit I was intimidated to try it at first. The best part, it's perfect on second or third day hair!
You'll want to start by placing a headband around the top of your hair. Keep it closer to the front of your head (it may slide back in the process) and don't tuck any hair under.
Step 2: Next, take a few 1 inch sections of hair near your ears and wrap them around the headband.
This will help keep the band in place without any bobby pins (yup, you read that right).
Step 3: Now you'll want to focus on the back portion of hair. Wrap it up and literally stuff it into the pocket created between your hair and the headband.
Step 4: Keep wrapping and tucking until all loose hairs are in the pocket.
You may need to check a few times in the mirror to make sure no ends are hanging out.
Add some hairspray or salt spray for hold.
And you're finished! What do you think? Tell me in the comments below.
