Samantha Chic: Beauty // February 2015 Birchbox Review

Beauty // February 2015 Birchbox Review

Time for the February Birchbox rundown. This month they partnered with Rent the Runway for their curated box. While I love RTR, I was thrilled about the box. Most of the samples I've had before and/or knew I didn't want. So I stuck with my regular personalized box.

Each box this month though came with an offer from Rent the Runway (you can also sign up here to get $20 rental credit). Before my box even arrived I got an email apologizing that the offer was not in the box and instead included in the email.

Overall, I wasn't as impressed this month. I was disappointed to see both a perfume and an eyeliner pencil since I have a sensitivity to scents and I can't line my eyes to save my life. The lotion smelled amazing, so I'm excited to try that.

If you're new to Birchbox, it's an online monthly subscription box that sends you 4 to 5 samples of beauty, hair, skin, and lifestyle products based on your profile questionnaire.

It costs $10 a month and includes hundreds of different brands -- both well known and up-and-coming.

Here's a look inside...

Sulfate-free, color-safe shampoo in the brand's energizing citrus scent. In the shower, massage into damp hair. Rinse, and follow with conditioner.

Harvey Prince Hello Conditioner | Buy Online $22

Rich in marine extracts, this paraben-free moisturizer leaves skin smooth, soft and calm. Massage generously into skin, focusing on any dry patches like knees and elbows.

CLEAN Skin Eau de Parfume | Buy Online $69
This light, alluring fragrance mimics the subtle scent of bare skin. Spirtz on for fresh blend of lotus blossom, blue rose, honeydew, and white musk.
