Craving // Oscars 2015 Trends: White, Pearls & Turquoise

In case you missed it... Last night was the annual Academy Awards and stars really brought it on the red carpet. The Oscars were, in my opinion, the best red carpet looks we've seen this awards season.

I posted about some of my favorite looks on Instagram last night, but today we're breaking down on to make last night's trends work for your everyday life this Spring...

White Dresses
It seems like nearly everyone wore a white dress last night -- Lupita Nyong'o, Reese Witherspoon, Felicity Jones, Julianne Moore, Lady Gaga, Joanna Newsom, Marion Cotillard.

A shorter hem is what will make this every day appropriate. Play with the details though to keep things interesting, like the neckline on this ModCloth dress and open back on this Kate Spade one. This Chicwish version is an fresh Spring-y update on eyelet, like Marion's dress.

Pearl Embellishment
Lupita's Calvin Klein Collection dress had more than 6,000 pearls on it last night! And she wasn't the only one to work the trend last night. Julianne Moore and Felicity Jones also wore embellished dresses.

Again, stick with a shorter hemline for Spring, like this River Island dress. Or, try a take on the trend with an embellished sweater, like this one from Boston Proper.

Turquoise Details
Last, but not least, were the turquoise details. My jaw dropped upon seeing Cate Blanchett's gorgeous Tiffany & Co. necklace. America Ferrera and Joanna Newsom also wore the color.

Update your current accessories with the blue hue. This Michael Kors watch has been on my wish list for quite some time. While these Kendra Scott earrings and Diane von Furstenberg bracelet are sure to compliment a number of outfits.

The best part bout these trends? They all work together as well! Wear an embellished white dress with turquoise accessories -- you'll be a hit!
