Style // Kushyfoot Flats to Go review

I've been interested in a pair of foldable flats for several years now, so I was super excited when Kushyfoot asked me to try a pair of their Flats to Go.

Until a year and a half ago, I was working as a news reporter and was anywhere from roadside crashes to courthouse cases so I was changing shoes a lot.

Now that I've switched jobs, I'm mostly indoors, but still wanted a pair foldable flats to wear on my commute. Walking across asphalt and gravel then driving to work in heels is a little tough. I tend to ding them up a lot more when I do that as well.

According to Kushyfoot, the Flats to Go are ideally used indoors and on smooth surfaces. Lightweight and ultra-portable, it's "the perfect solution to achy feet." They are great to keep in your purse, car, suitcase, or desk drawer.

Flats to Go come in a range of colors, textures and patterns (patent, metallic, snake skin print, alligator embossed, and fleecy leopard). Sandal and open toe version are available.

All styles have the same "super-comfortable" 3D massaging sole for relief from high heels and are sized 5/6, 7/8 and 9/10 at a suggested retail price of $9.99.

The first thing I noticed was how tightly the Flats to Go folded up. They could easily fit in all of my purses without causing a problem.

Secondly, I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy they felt once I put them on. I've seen a number of foldable flats priced at $150+ and was curious as to what kind of quality these would be. They are not meant to be worn during a walking tour or anything, but they are thicker than I expected and provide enough cushion between the ground and your foot.

Due to the weather here in Pennsylvania, I didn't get a chance to try these out during my commute (I've been wearing my snow boots each day). But from what I've seen so far, these will be perfect for spring and summer as I run out of the apartment, drive to work, and walk into the office before changing into my shoes for the day.

The pair I received was black alligator print. I was pleased to see that they were not only well-made, but also stylish. I highly doubt anyone would question my footwear if I was caught wearing this while running into the office.

I wore them for several hours around my house just to get a feel for them. After a while, my feet did sweat a bit and they started to squeak. Honestly though, that was probably due to wearing them longer than intended.

Overall, I was really, really happy with this product. I definitely intend to use them all spring and summer long and will update you guys again after a few months.

Kushyfoot also has shaping tights and trouser socks available.
