Samantha Chic: Style // April 2015 Stitch Fix review

Style // April 2015 Stitch Fix review

Another month, another Stitch Fix review...

This month marks my 12th Stitch Fix box (you can sign up here if you're interested). I've been doing Stitch Fix for year now and I'm honestly not too sure if the service is for me. I like some pieces, but lately most of what I've gotten is just OK.

I honestly don't have too many comments on this box mostly because the items either didn't fit or weren't my style at all.

Here's what I got in my April box. The pieces ranged from $48 to $88 each for a total of $312. After the $20 styling fee and 25% discount, the whole box could be purchased for $219.

Le Lis Geoffrey Button Down Top $48| STATUS: Sent Back

This was the only item in the box I considered keeping.

I've seem a lot more bloggers and celebrities wearing flannel shirts like this with a pair of skinny jeans or cutoffs and booties and it looks really cute.

Unlike a winter flannel, this one was very thin and breezy. I liked the colors a lot because they were plaid, but not too country-western, which isn't my style.
41Hawthorn Queensland Dolman Jersey Top $48| STATUS: Sent Back

I'm not a fan of dolman tops at all and this is the second one I've gotten (see the first one here).

Overall, I'm fan of a a good all black shirt and I like the weight and texture of this knit -- wasn't too thick or heavy, but wasn't too sheer either. The dolman sleeves were too much for me though. They remind me of bat wings.
RD Style Ridge Zipper Detail Cowl Neck Sweater $64 | STATUS: Sent Back

I hate cowl necks. I got a cowl neck dress in January and wrote that I hate cowl necks so I was really disappointed to see I got another cowl neck in this box.

Honestly, I'm not sure how this sweater was supposed to go on either. The tag was in the back, but the seam ran down the front and one side was longer than the other and there were zippers on the sleeves...

It was just too much going on for me on top of the hated cowl neck.
Market & Spruce Lasky Draped Cardigan $64| STATUS: Sent Back

This cardigan was just OK -- it wasn't great and didn't stand out in any way. It certainly wasn't worth $64 to me.

It was more of a gray-tan color, which looked kind of dirty, with black stripes and an open front.

Mavi Gold Ruxin Distressed Boyfriend Jeans $88| STATUS: Sent Back

I look like I'm part of a weight loss commercial here, but in actuality these jeans didn't fit me at all.

I feel like I've been getting a lot of boyfriend jeans as well. I had specifically asked for a pair of dark wash bootcut jeans, but the stylist said they were out and sent these instead.

So, that was my 12thbox! Tell me what you think about Stitch Fix in the comments below. If you're interested in Stitch Fix, you can sign up here!
