What it is: Shiseido Perfecting Stick Concealer

What they say: An incredible concealer that melts into skin and blends effortlessly to cover any flaws for a complexion that looks naturally perfect. Contains Reflect and Fit Powder that effortlessly camouflages the appearance of all types of discoloration without fading or creasing.

How to use: Roll out stick approximately one centimeter, directly place on part you want to cover. Blend into skin by tapping and lightly blending with your fingertip.

What I think: Ever since I got a chance to try the Shiseido Ultimune in my Birchbox, I've been obsessed with this brand. Which is why I was super excited when they offered to let me try their Perfecting Stick Concealer as well.

I've struggled with dark circles for as long as I can remember. A combination of sleep issues, allergies and genetics I think play a part in it. So needless to say I bounce around from concealer to concealer trying to find the best one.

This Shisiedo Perfecting Stick Concealer has been the best version I've tried to date.

First, I love that it comes in a range of 7 colors, which compared to a lot of other concealers is a lot. I had previously been using Benefit's Fake-Up, which only comes in 3 colors.

This concealer also goes on very smoothly, which I like a lot. It's easy to apply straight from the stick and doesn't pull or tug on your skin during application. Blending is very easy as well. I've never tried it with a concealer brush, but I usually just use my fingers to pat and blend it in without any issues.

A little bit goes a long way as well. I've actually been using the product for several months now and am only halfway through the stick.

A quick swipe is great when you're on the go, or I typically draw a small inverted triangle under my eye & blend for everyday use. If you need more coverage though you can easily layer this product without it looking too cakey.

Also, the product is thick enough to provide coverage with just one layer, but still feels light on your skin. It's not too heavy, and I've never noticed any creasing or fading (even without primer).

I know some makeup artist recommend separate concealers for under the eye and blemishes, but this one works well with both. When I have a blemish or pimple I want to cover, I simply tap a few dots around the area and pat to blend. It's great at covering and concealing the redness of blemishes.

Overall, this is a really great quality product that I plan to start working into my routine.
