Skirt: New York & Co. (past season) // Belt: Forever 21 // Shoes: Target
I have a habit of resetting my alarm in the morning. It's not serving me well, but I can't seem to shake that thought that if I just had 5, 10, 15 more minutes of sleep I'd be OK. In reality, I end up rushing around in the morning trying to make it to my 9-to-5 job each day.
Which is why I cannot stress the importance of having a go-to outfit. For me on work days, it's a gray tee and black pencil skirt because you can update it in so many ways.
On this day, I knew I could be a little more relaxed so I added my favorite wedges and bright jewelry I received in my most recent Rocksbox.
I purchased these wedges last year (I searched high & low for a pair in my size and finally ordered them online). I loved them - they're not only chic, but also a lot more comfy than I expected. I wear them constantly and was excited to see they brought them back this year.
What I love most about this outfit is its versatility. It really does serve me a lot of ways and helps me feel put together when reality is a little farther from the truth.
Some days, I mix all neutrals with a brown belt and brown flats. On days when I know I need to be a little more buttoned up, I'll throw on a blazer and closed-toed heels. When it's cooler in the fall, I'll add tights, booties and a cardigan.
