What it is: Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer
What they say: Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer delivers fabulous, natural-looking color that lasts longer than the leading sunless tanner lotion. Gradually infuses your skin with a blend of effective moisturizers, antioxidants and Vitamin E. Designed for Fair to Medium and Medium to Tan skin tones.
How to use: For best results, use daily as your body lotion. Smooth on evenly, allowing several minutes to dry prior to dressing. Wash your hands after application. You will begin to see a subtle development of color within several days. If color change is not as noticeable as desired, apply more frequently.
I actually tried this lotion about 5 or so years ago when it first came out, but I didn't like the formula. Last year, I saw they changed up the formula a bit and the bottle making it easier to use, so I decided to give it another go.
However, I wasn't very diligent about using it regularly. This summer, I've made a concerted effort to use it regularly and have been using it as a daily lotion for about a month or so (except for the week I was trying out the Comodynes towelettes).
As a moisturizer, I really like the new formula. It doesn't feel as tacky as the previous one and goes on a lot more smoothly than before. The lotion sinks in pretty quick and actually delivers real moisturizing benefits to your skin.
With the previous formula my skin always still felt dry so I had to moisturize with my regular lotion first, then follow-up with this. Luckily that's not the case anymore.
The lotion does deliver a subtle color that builds with each use. It's not a deep faux tan looking color, but enough to make your legs not look pasty.
I have noticed, however though, when I shave it takes the color right off (literally, the shaving cream is usually tinted tan). So you have to start right back over again at square one building up to the faux glow shade you desire.
My biggest gripe with this lotion though is that it rubs off onto all my clothes. No matter how long I let it sit and soak in before putting on my outfit, it always rubs off and leaves a noticeable mark.
Because of this I don't think I'll be buying this product again. I've actually been struggling to use it up in the past year.
What do you think? Have you tried Jergens before? Any tips for keeping it from rubbing off? Share your thoughts in the comments!
