Beauty // Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream

What it is: Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream

What they say: This power eye cream is rich but light and absorbs easily to help to reduce the appearance of fine lines, dark shadows and puffiness.

We have blended virgin coconut, rosehip and carrot oil to soften skin, and Roman chamomile and cucumber oil with non-alcohol witch hazel to smooth away dark shadows. Super hydrating hyaluronic acid and anti-oxidant rich spruce knot plump and boost the delicate skin around your eyes.

How to use: Using the tip of a ring finger, gently tap and smooth cream around the eye socket, paying particular attention to any areas of concern such as fine lines or dark circles.

What I think: I have dark circles from a combination of allergies and lack of sleep, so eye cream has become a staple in my skincare routine (though I don't always remember to use it).

Since I'm in my mid-20s, I don't need to worry too much about wrinkles yet, so I've mostly been focused on keeping that area hydrated and protected.

I got a sample of this Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream in one of my monthly Birchboxes and decided to give it a try. I didn't get enough uses out of the sample to say definitively if it helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles or dark circles over time though.

My overall impression was that it was OK, but not great. There really wasn't anything about this that stood out to me.

The formula felt a little thick for my taste because I've been leaning towards more lightweight versions. A little bit of this went a long way though, which is always good.

It also felt a little tingly right under my eye after apply, which I know some people like because it gives the impression it's working, but in all honestly it kind of freaks me out.

In the end, it's not a product I'll be adding to my rotation.

What do you think? Have you tried this eye cream before? Tell me in the comments below!
