What I think: I've always been more of a bar soap over a shower gel kind of gal. But when I got a sample of this Not Soap Radio bath + shower gel in my Birchbox several months ago, i decided to give it a whirl.
I was hesitant to use it at first though because I typically can't stand lemon scents. Most remind me of Pine Sol and a just cleaned kitchen - not really what I want in a shower gel.
This scent though is "lemon & sugar," which gave it an extra edge over other lemon scented items. It actually reminded me more of fresh squeezed lemonade on a hot summer's day than a clean kitchen.
All of Not Soap Radio's scents are designed to be aroma-therapeutic. I actually started looking forward to using the scent in the morning. It was a nice little pick-me-up and did seem to uplift my mood a bit.
Not Soap Radio shower gel lathers pretty generously -- you don't need a whole lot to get the job done. And it rinsed away really easily, but still left the scent behind.
My skin afterward felt cleaned and refreshed. It didn't feel super moisturized afterwards, but it also didn't feel dry or tight.
Overall, I did enjoy trying out this soap and even the scent. Right now I tend to be a night time shower taker so I can let my hair air dry. But if I ever switch up my routine to be in the morning, I think I'll have to pick this up.
