What it is: Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Conditioner
What they say: This Dry Conditioner is formulated with Argan Oil, which is uniquely delivered through an aerosol spray making it incredibly lightweight and effective in reinvigorating the lengths of hair days after a blow out. This spray softens and conditions the hair, and also protects the cuticle from damage. Hair is left soft, shiny, smooth and healthy-looking.
How to use: Shake well. Spray evenly on the lengths of dry hair, and style as usual.
However, there is still damage on my ends, which is why some companies are now trying out dry conditioners. In theory, they operate the same as a dry shampoo -- shake & spray -- but deliver nourishing ingredients to help keep hair soft and smooth.
I had gotten a sample of this dry conditioner from Serge Normant in one of my monthly Birchboxes, and I do kind of like the concept, but I'm not sure it's for me.
The product was really simple to use -- again, just shake and spray as you would a dry shampoo. Since my hair tends to be mostly dry on the ends, I focused on that area.
While it did add some shine and smoothness to my ends, it wasn't super noticeable. They still looked a little damaged and fried, just not as bad as before. A few times I tried it on the whole length of my hair, but again, the results weren't enough to justify adding another product and another step to my routine.
For me though, what sealed the deal in deciding not to purchase as the smell. It came across as a little powdery and perfume-y to me -- kind of reminded me of a Grandma-ish smell for some real. When you spray it as well, there's a pretty large cloud left in the air.
This is probably just me though. I've mentioned before that I'm pretty sensitive to scents, and most people on Birchbox seem to love the scent.
Overall, the product just didn't deliver the noticeable results to justify a purchase.
