What it is: Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
What they say: It’s a roller for lashes! The eye-opening Hook ‘n’ Roll™ brush grabs, separates, lifts and curls…while the instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours.
How to use: Gently wiggle the wand from base of lashes to tip. Repeat across your lashline, making sure to catch every lash.
And if there's one mascara I was eager to try this year, it was Benefit's brand new Roller Lash mascara. It might have easily been the buzziest beauty launch of the year (though the They're Real Push Up Liner was also super buzzy - Benefit's had one hell of a year).
So much so that I actually pre-ordered it from Birchbox in late January and have been using it every since.
True to it's word, this mascara really does "hook" your lashes to lift, separate and curl. I was a little skeptical at first that the product would actually deliver, but let me tell you, it did.
I had such a noticeable curl to my lashes that I legitimately threw out my lash curler (in it's defense, it had started to break anyways so it just didn't make the cut in our move).
Also, the mascara did a really good job of separating my lashes because I absolutely hate the clumpy spider legs look. One coat was enough to get good definition and curl for me.
My only complaint would be that it gave my lashes that thicker, crunchy feeling (similar to how Benefit's They're Real does), which I'm not a fan of. It took a little bit of rubbing with make-up remover to get that crunchy feeling off at the end of the night.
Overall, though I really liked the Roller Lash mascara and am seriously debating whether or not to make it my main product.
