What it is: POND'S Original Fresh Wet Cleansing Towelettes
What they say: Perfectly clean & fresh in an instant. No other leading towelette is better at removing impurities and gently lifting away makeup than these soft, textured cleansing cloths. Infused with Vitamin E and a Triple Anti-Oxidant complex, they revitalize skin while leaving it perfectly clean and makeup free.
How to use: Wipe around the eyes, face, and neck to remove make-up and impurities. No rinsing needed. Tightly reseal after each use.
What I think: If you're not taking your make-up off before you cleanse your skin, then you probably should start. And cleansing towelettes is the easiest way (in my opinion) to do so.
Cleansing towelettes can get a bad rep a lot of times, mostly when people use them as a substitute to clean their skin. I've tried a number of cleansing towelettes before (see here, here and here) and recently got a chance to try these towelettes from POND'S.
For the most part they are pretty similar to any other towelette. The biggest difference I noticed was that they have larger sized grooves within the fibers so they offer a little bit of "scrubbing" action without actually hurting your skin.
They did a good job of removing all my make-up in the first pass. However, when it came to mascara, it did take a little bit of rubbing several times to get it all off, which over time can be irritating to your lash line.
What I disliked most about them though was how soapy they looked and felt. As soon as I pulled one out there were little soap bubbles on it and it bubbled up even more when I started rubbing it on my face.
This soapy feeling on the towelettes transferred to my skin as well. After I used them, I felt like I needed to rinse my face off even though it says "no rinsing needed." It honestly felt like there was a little bit of film left over on my face.
Overall, I was not a huge fan of these towelettes. The soapy film it left on my face was a little too much for me.
