What it is:
 Skyn Iceland Glacial Face Wash

What they say: Is your skin depleted, congested and irritated from a high-octane, 24/7 lifestyle? Pamper it with a refreshing, foaming cleanser that will leave your skin squeaky clean and hydrated.

Formulated with the purest Icelandic glacial waters and beneficial botanicals, this mild cleanser detoxifies and purifies without stripping skin of its natural moisture. Skin's harmony, balance and glow are restored.

How to use: Add water to a dime-sized amount and work into a lather between hands. Massage onto face. Rinse. A slight cooling sensation is normal.

What I think: So as I mentioned last week, I decided to cash in some Birchbox points in January and splurge on this Skyn Iceland Saving Face Kit

I have blemish prone skin and it took quite a beating using whatever random samples I could find when we moved across the country (I had streamlined all my large containers). So needless to say it was in need of some "Saving Face."

I reviewed the ANTIDOTE Cooling Daily Lotion last week because it was the first sample I used up, but I probably should have started with this one since washing your first is the first step to a skin routine.

I have really enjoyed using this Glacial Face Wash for a number of reasons.

First and foremost, it really does clean and make your skin feel so much better. A little bit goes a long way, which I know is said a lot, but it's really true here - a pea to dime sized amount is all you really need for your face.

I typically wet my face first, lather it up all round making sure to get in around my hairline, across my jaw, and in the creases around my nose. Then in rinse it off with water, which brings me to my second point...

You know how in commercials the woman just splashes a lot of water across her face and suddenly it's all rinse away and her skin looks amazing? Has that ever happened to you? Yeah, I didn't think so. We'll it pretty much will with this Glacial Face Wash!

I don't know how they do it, but it rinses away so easily and so cleanly with literally just a splash or two of water. It's kind of hard to explain just how cool the rinsing process it with this wash. But, afterwards my skin is left feeling so clean and soft!

Lastly, the face wash includes white willow bark, which is a natural form of salicylic acid, the compound we all know helps to decongest pores and prevent breakouts.

It took a while for my skin to adjust to a new face wash, but once it did, I feel like this Glacial Face Wash has done a pretty good job of preventing and clearing up breakouts.

Overall, I really enjoyed this face wash -- even if just for the ritual of rinsing it off like I'm in a commercial -- and will probably try to find a way to incorporate it into my skin care routine this year.
