Jacket: Purchased in Italy // Sweater: Gap (past season)
You wouldn't know it from these pictures, but SoCal, I guess, has been in the midst of a heatwave. It soared to 93 degrees yesterday, which is high for February, but I'm loving it since I'm always cold!
Last week though, the temps were a little bit more moderate so when Ryan and I went to check out Green Peas Casual Food, an organic & vegan restaurant (because, Cali!), I decided to layer up a bit.
In fact, most items I'm wearing here are old staples in my closet, but I found a lot of great similar options that are linked above. When we moved across the country, I had to cut my closet size by a lot so most of what I brought with me are items that have served me well for a number of years.
I tend to like mixing old and new items though. Trends are great, but having a well curated closet of items you love, like this turtleneck, will make dressing more interesting.
To keep the outfit fresh and new though, I paired the turtleneck with a new pair of Boyfriend jeans from H&M. I had never won the boyfriend style before, but had a coupon for H&M so decided to try them. They're pretty comfy, but can quickly slide into sloppy territory if you're not careful.
Adding a pair of booties, a leopard print bag, and a statement necklace keep things casual-chic and not sloppy.
What do you think? How do you style boyfriend jeans? Tell me in the comments below!
