What it is: OZ Naturals Super Youth Eye Gel
What they say: This Eye Gel is considered to be the most effective and complete eye treatment available. Designed to treat every major concern, including dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles. Safe for all skin types, non-comedogenic, does not contain parabens, sulfates or alcohol.
How to use: Dab around eyes, including eyelids. You may or may not wish to follow with a moisturizer depending on your skin's needs as this eye gel can also act as a light moisturizer. Can be applied multiple times per day.
Additionally, I have pretty sensitive skin and eyes, and even more so as a contacts wearer, I try to be really conscious of what I’m putting around my eyes.
So when I got the chance to try this OZ Naturals Super Youth Eye Gel, which is 100 percent natural and 75 percent organic (and also made in the USA!), I was excited.
Because I have oily skin, I’ve really started to switch my products over to gels in the past year or so as more and more products become available. There’s a misconception that if you have oily skin you don’t need to moisturize, but really you do!
However, creams are just way too heavy for my skin, and around my eye is no exception. I’ve always used them because the benefits outweighed the downsides, but finding an eye gel really takes things up to another level for me.
First off, the product is super smooth and silky. As you would expect with a gel, it glides on really easily, which is great when you’re dealing with the area around your eyes because that tends to be more delicate.
There’s no need to pull or tug or rub it in - just simply glide it around the area or pat it in with your fingertip.
Secondly, a little goes a LONG way! Seriously, one full pump was was more than I needed for both eyes. I usually try to just pump out a little dot for each eye at first and then go in with more if I think I need it.
Lastly, the ingredients are really natural and safe for your skin: Apple stem cells, hyaluronic acid (!!!), vitamin E, aloe vera, algae extract, and giant kelp extract.
In terms of effectiveness, I (fortunately) don’t struggle with fine lines or wrinkles yet around my eyes so I can’t speak to that, but in terms of puffiness and dark circles, it has made an
improvement in that area.
I’ve been applying it morning and night for the past two weeks. When I wake up in the morning, there’s still a bit of dark circles, but it’s not nearly as noticeable (and I’ve even gone without concealer a couple times and no one asked if I was tired!).
The only thing I don’t quite like is the smell, which is a little “off.” I think it might be caused by the algae extract and/or the giant kelp extract in it though.
Overall though, my first impression is that this is a really great, natural product for your eyes and I love that it’s a gel!
