What it is: Pantene Sheer Volume Shampoo & Conditioner

What they say: Don't let your 'do deflate. Give it an all-day lift with zero residue. Get the ultimate in body and style with micro-boosters that provide manageability.

How to use: Lather shampoo into wet hair; rinse; repeat if you want to. Follow with Volume Conditioner for weightless, full-bodied style. Apply conditioner to ends of hair and work your way up, sparingly at roots. Leave on as long as you like; rinse thoroughly.

What I think: I’ve written before about the fact that I have thin and fine hair. Combine that with the fact that it’s pretty long right now, which weighs and pulls it down, you get really flat hair all around the crown.

Usually I’m not too concerned — I’ve come to accept the fact that I’ll never have an amazing 1960s bouffant — but when a product comes along that can give my hair a little oomph, I appreciate it.

I was skeptical about whether Pantene’s Sheer Volume Shampoo + Conditioner set would actually boost the volume of my hair, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Pantene is one of those brands that I started using back in middle school and tend to still go back to, not only because of the price point, but also because it tends to just work well.

First and foremost, the shampoo cleanses really, really well. There was one day, where I had sprayed in a bunch of hairspray and texturizer, visited the beach (sand + salt), and then went swimming in a pool later (chlorine), and this shampoo gently and effectively removed all of the grime from my hair.

This version smells AMAZING! It might actually be one of my favorite scented shampoos I’ve used so far. Ryan have even commented a few times that my hair smells really nice.

Lastly, the conditioner is light enough to not weigh down your hair (which is always a concern when you have thin, fine hair), but still deeply penetrates and restores your hair.

The shampoo and conditioner when used together do seem to give my hair a little bit more oomph. It’s not of the “Big Hair, Don’t Care” variety, but enough when that when I air dry my hair it’s not lying flat against my scalp.

I mean, basically enough that I can channel my inner Selena Gomez when rocking out to "Hands to Myself" in my car... and that's all a girl can really ask for, right?

Overall, I really enjoyed the shampoo and conditioner. I rarely buy the exact same brand of shampoo and conditioner, but this version seemed to really work.

Eventually, I’d like to check if there are any other products in the Sheer Volume collection that might help to add even more volume.
