Now, on to the regularly scheduled programming...
So, one of the things that I've been DYING to do since we moved to Los Angeles is go on the Warner Brothers Studio Tour. The WB has aired and/or filmed all my favorite TV shows -- Gilmore Girls, Friends, Big Bang Theory, Pretty Little Liars. They even did the Harry Potter movies, which are a favorite of mine.
But since they're taping, I knew it would be done up at Stars Hollow, so we booked it over there this past weekend. And I was right! At first, we weren't even supposed to go onto the Gilmore Girls set, but a few of us on our tour begged, and they let us under a few strict instructions.
Unfortunately, as part of those instructions, we didn't get to take any photos because it's an active set, but I can tell you it was decorated for fall and look amazing.

The show meant to much to me growing up and continues to mean a lot to me as I continue on into adulthood. Even though we didn't get photos, I loved being able to see it done up properly as Stars Hollow. I would like to eventually go back and take photos even though it probably won't be decorated as the set.

Being able to sit on the couch and recreate the scene that Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Ross, and Chandler did was amazing. Then afterwards, they set up a "Central Perk" coffee shop where you can actually buy coffee and pastries!

When you're walking around the sets you really start to appreciate camera angles and lighting and art direction. There's a lot of talented people working behind the scenes to make what you see come to life.
I've gotten a few questions on social media about how we were able to get so close to the sets and whatnot. So, first, we purchased the regular tickets, not the super expensive "exclusive" tour ones. Each tour is only 10 people, so that's good.
Secondly, talk to your tour guide! Tell him what you want to see and/or what are your favorite shows and movies. Our guide, Shant, explicitly asked us before we even went on the tour so that we'd be sure to enjoy it.
And as I mentioned above, at first they weren't going to let us go onto the Gilmore Girls set, but about half of our group camp specifically for that, so Shant put in a request for us, which was approved.
Lastly, enjoy! I'm actually kind of glad we weren't allowed to take photos in some areas because it really forced me to be present in the moment and enjoy it. Overall, Ryan and I really enjoyed the tour and I am even more excited for Gilmore Girls (if that's even possible) now!
