So, one of the biggest benefits (in my mind at least and I think most would agree) about living in Southern California are the beaches! It’s basically the main reason I wanted to move here - to go to the beach every day.
Ryan and I seem to have acclimated to this weather pretty quickly - at 60 degrees we start to quip that “it’s cold!” - HAH! And we’ve yet to actually get in the Pacific Ocean because, again, cold! But the Spring Breakers were all about it because they had just come from 35 degrees and snowing in Iowa. Just goes to show, life is all relative!
In terms of beach wear, I’ve never put much thought into it because I rarely was at the beach. But now, more and more I’ve been looking at cute cover-ups at Target and Forever 21 thinking I should invest in some.
For the most part I usually throw on an oversized t-shirt and shorts. If we’re going somewhere afterwards, I like to be a little more put together and will opt for something like this LC Lauren Conrad poncho and an A-line denim skirt from Zara (with a very 70s vibe).
The hat I picked up two weeks ago from Forever 21 because I really only own a single baseball hat, which I just got last August. As I get older though, I’m realizing more and more the importance of sun protection. In addition to sunscreen every day, I’m going to make a point to wear this hat to the beach during the summer.
I know it’s premature because Spring just recently came around, but I can’t wait for the summer and to make many beach trips! What are you guys looking forward to in the next few months?
