Beauty // Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer

What it is: Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer

What they say: This heavenly floral-scented, non-drying toner refreshes, soothes and brightens your skin. Gentle and alcohol-free, it also adds a fine layer of moisture. Naturally active ingredients include aloe vera to revitalise and soften and calendula, chamomile, cucumber and natural source vitamin E to soothe and refresh the skin.

How to use: Instant Boost Skin Tonic is the essential second stage of your daily regime: Moisten a cotton wool pad and sweep over face and neck every morning and night after cleansing. Alternatively spritz over face and body to revitalise at any time. The fine mist can even be used over make up.

What I think: I haven't really tried a whole lot of face sprays (just this one before) so I never really know what to expect. Mostly, I haven't noticed a whole lot of benefits other than my face getting wet and feeling just a little bit more moisturized.

It never seemed liked a spritzer would be an essential part of my routine... until I met this one by Liz Earle!

I had received a sample of this spritzer in one of my Birchboxes, but it was a decent sized so I was able to use it for several weeks. I haven't used it in about a month now, and really kind of miss it during my nightly skin care routine.

The mist does have a floral scent and while I'm usually scent adverse, this one didn't bother me at all and actually was a nice, calming breaking at the end of the night.

I actually skipped the whole cotton pad thing and just sprayed directly on my face after cleansing. The mist comes out evenly so just a few pumps was all you needed to get a nice dewy coat on your face.

While the spritzer obviously helped to moisturizer and soften my skin, the biggest difference I noticed was how it almost instantly calmed my skin. When you have giant red acne marks over your face once a month, anything that helps to bring down the irritation is essential.

And this was it. I was hooked! I looked forward to spraying this on every night (and sometime in the morning) to instantly calm my skin and wake up with a much less irritated face.

Once I'm done trying out another mist, I definitely plan on adding this back into my routine!
